Scratch on the origin from my previous initial claim three years ago (comment deleted); Japanese origin, Indonesian built and Made for RI, as formerly listed, is indeed correct. Only the first generation models were Japanese origin as they were just an enlarged version of the seventh generation Hijet, even sharing that generation Hijet's S80 codes. The second generation S90 series after this generation will be the one to have the full Indonesian origin. Why 1987? First model year for these here is 1986. Additionally, 1986-1989 models were actually called the Hijet Zebra, not simply Zebra until its first facelift in 1989. A 1.0-litre CB three-cylinder was the only engine option for 1986-1989; chassis code is [S88]. More info can be found in my recent previous comment here.
