In a flashback scene near the end of the film, we see when Jean-Dominique Bauby (Mathieu Amalric) had his stroke, while he was out for a ride in his new Jaguar XJS with his son. The stroke occurs quite suddenly, he pulls over and his son runs out to get help, his foot pins down the accelerator pedal, the engine (in neutral) whines as the revs increase.

He is riding in an ambulance when he spots a Jaguar just like his, which brings on the memory of his stroke.

In the 3rd thumbnail does anyone know exactly what is printed on the steering wheel? All I can see is "Jaguar Sport" but I don't know what that thing above those words is.

... probably Momo (of Milan) the steering wheel was specific to JaguarSport at the time.

Looks like it has the V12 badge on the grille.

By the way, about a week ago I added '5.3 V12 H.E.' in the extra info for all pre-1991 North American market XJ-S's (they didn't get the 3.6 litre that was introduced in 1983) and all pre-83 models (leaving out the H.E. bit for the pre-81 ones) And also for ones that appeared to have the golden V badge on the grille instead of the black Jaguar head emblem (such as this one)
