190 I think... |

US-spec in "Berlin", 1991 (painted mirrors) |

If this isn't Berlin, it's another European city. It's certainly not Hawaii. Do any of the cast appear in this shot, or could it be second unit or stock footage? Are there any other scenes in Berlin? |

Why not downtown Honolulu? Seek for a street without palm trees, spread some snow and 5 minutes later it will look that way.. |

That snow does not look very "natural" indeed: still on the road where cars pass, but melted (molten?) at other places? -- Last edit: 2008-02-19 18:10:33 |

The architecture looks central European to me. And, as I said, if we don't see any cast members it's much more likely to be Berlin than Honolulu. Surely it's at least doubtful enough to remove the "made for USA" tag. EDIT: Is there anything about the 190 itself to say that it's US-spec, other than the fact that it appears in an episode of "Lost"? -- Last edit: 2008-02-19 19:47:40 |

It's those side marking indicators that make it a US model. Although I had that too on my W201 - but not originally, I just replaced the usual blinker bulb by a twin filament brake bulb. Found some pics of the filming location, which seems to be in fact somewhere on Oahu. The snow looks as if they used crushed ice which was left over from a fish market... |

Well, I take it all back. The Lost art department is getting much better at dressing locations. |

If you compare it to McGyver or Alias... definitely! |
