That being said, by looking at the ad of the 1963 Standard, it´s lacking the chrome decoration under the trunk lid as well as bumper overriders, but the subject car has both : In this ad (in which I´ve looked at) it was called Lark Taxi by Studebaker, which does appear to have this chrome piece under the trunklid, as well as bumper overriders ..but at the same time, the subject car has plain hubs, contrary to what is depicted on that Lark Taxi ad. -- Last edit: 2021-09-13 17:06:24

I'm not sure we are really seeing a chrome bar at the rear. Hard to tell with the lighting. Standards had the "Studebaker" name on the front fenders rather than the Lark name. On the subject car, the length of the nameplate appears too long to say "Lark". "Standards" were heavily marketed to fleet buyers. -- Last edit: 2021-09-14 19:02:10
