dsl wrote :king: Good call - agree Stiletto with vinyl roof and darker rear panel for the slats. Might be RHD with a hint of a GB plaque.

electra225 wrote a personal note for dsl.... I begun to like the arrow cars after my dad brought from UK the Corgi blue and white scale model of the famous 1968 London Sydney Hunter. I hadn't seen one in Italy and I found it very similar to the Fiat 124 Special but I appreciated the more squared roof line.
Some years later I went first to Britain in 1979 at almost 18.. I was a bit tired and actually not used to the left side driving and therefore, approaching the bus that would have taken me from Luton airport to London centre, I didn't realize I had not watched to the correct side... I heard the typical sound of a car suddenly braking and terrorized I watched four headlights of a bright gold with a black vinyl roof Sceptre (if I remember well J registered) were sweetly looking at me. The brakes of a Rootes car (even if in the Chrysler era) had saved me, After that I had often thought about that attractive saloon dreaming to be the proud owner...

That Corgi Hunter was a great model - I had one too. It's still the only diecast model of a Hunter or other Arrow, although there have been some expensive and rare white metal and resin issues over the years, including a range of various Arrows from the Italian firm of Silas who did 3 Sceptre liveries in very small batches. Still hoping to find one at an affordable price .....

We had 2 Sceptres in 70-72, and they were nice cars - maybe only a superficial tarting up from the Hunter base, but they had some style and felt special at the time.
