To choose - one of the US cars on the right. |

The light blue one is an Opel, due the shape of the front-lamp-hole, I say Kadett D. Then an early BMW 02 (chrome grille), than an Opel Ascona A (probably "Berlina"-version), which is sitting on a Opel Rekord D. The yellow car under the BMW seems to be an early Audi 80 (shape of the chrome-trim). The both US-cars? Two different Mustang-versions? -- Last edit: 2008-02-08 19:25:10 |

The one on top is a 1977-1979 Ford Thunderbird. The one on the bottom is a 1974-1976 Ford product. Based on the shape of the door (notice how it rises above the door handle (it was straight across on Thunderbirds)), the apparent size of the opera window (Gran Torino Broughams had larger ones), and how low down on the side the trim appears to be (I'm not sure what the deal is with the white stripe), I think it may be a Mercury Cougar. |

You can see the one on the bottom pretty well here: /vehicle_154677-BMW-1600-2-1966.html and here: /vehicle_154736-Opel-Ascona-1973.html The more I look at it, the more sure I am that it's a 1974-76 Mercury Cougar that someone apparently tried to paint to look like a "Starsky and Hutch" Torino (Which is ridiculous. These cars look plenty cool stock). It's been stripped of its vinyl roof and much of the trim pieces, but what details remain look right. |
