Wrap around taillight indicates Mercury Cougar. |

I think this is a 1974-1976 Ford Gran Torino Brougham coupe. The Thunderbird's side trim was lower down, the opera windows were smaller, and the taillights didn't wrap around to the side -- Last edit: 2008-02-02 04:47:05 |

Not a Cougar either. The side trim was much lower down (trust me on this). -- Last edit: 2008-02-02 04:12:54 |

Ford Elite? |

The Elite had two vertically divided opera windows. I'm pretty confident this car has a single roughly rectangular opera window. |

Pictures provided by stronghold is pretty much blurred. It is hard to tell if it is single pane or double pane opera window. |

I'm fairly sure it's an Elite. |

I'm going to revise my previous statement and agree with you. From what I can find, the Gran Torino Brougham's side trim went above the rear wheel cutout, and it had a full-vinyl roof (this appears to have a half-vinyl roof, consistent with an Elite). |

Actually it was initially sold as a "Grand Torino Elite in it's first year and simply "Elite" there after. |

Landau top was 1976-only |
