Looks like a 1303, a Rabbit in front of it. A 1303 in light-blue, quite rare. I must be on the of the earliest. |

With this bumper it's, indeed, a 1973 model. From this angle, if it was an US "Super Beetle" it should have a rubber band on the bumper and chrome trim in the window seals. Although the bumper is dented, the window seals don't appear to have chrome trim, so I would say it's a 1973 "Beetle". |

@ingo: It seems like a 1200L in non-US terms. Black rubber sealings, no banana vents, chrome bumpers. Not with 1.2 liter engine but rather a 1.3 (by the ribs, 1.2 did not have them), even a 1.6 (as 1200LS, with 'VW1300S' on the engine lid) was available. Elephants on all models from 1974 on. By 1975 the windows on 1200L got chrome sealings - this one does not have them - and 1.6 replaced 1.3. MY1974, not 1973 as currently listed. |
