However looks like a T-bar gear lever, which suggests automatic, and in the clip he appears to drive off without changing gear. However automatic wasn't offered until 1966 with the 2+2 launch. And the cockpit colour with all that red doesn't look normal. So I guess an experimental development car, early-mid 60s, trying out some design ideas. If it's an early 3.8 as dash suggests, production models were always manual only. Footage is unclear whether very early bonnet catches present.
