With what is visible "our" truck could be a 1958-59: • ½-ton payload / 114" (2.90 m) wheelbase / 189¾" (4.82 m) long Chevrolet Task-Force Apache 31 Fleetside pickup or its sibling GMC Blue Chip 101 Wide-Side; • ½-ton payload / 123¼" (3.13 m) wb / 209.625;" (5.32 m) long Chevrolet Task-Force Apache 32 Fleetside pickup or GMC Blue Chip 102 Wide-Side; • ¾-ton payload / 123¼" (3.13 m) wb / 209.625;" (5.32 m) long Chevrolet Task-Force Apache 36 Fleetside pickup or GMC Blue Chip 150 Wide-Side. Even if it were for sure a Chevrolet, there is at least 3 possible chassis codes, and reading the fender emblem is the only way to tell the difference between the 2 last possibilities (32 and 36 models)... As discussed in the forum Chevrolet is the default make for GM Advance-Design / New Design and Task-Force / Blue chip trucks, when there's nothing than can help to say a make over the other.
