My hunch is not a normal recovery truck, but something else (ambulance???) which has been cut up. Or it's something specialised (road building?? even British Rail??). |

I think that you may have been able to Walk-thru it at one time. |

probably not that but the only thing i can think of while looking at it is Chevy Step Van ( a modified one of course ) |

Very unlikely in U.K., our Chevrolets were called Bedfords, which might also be up for it. The lack of a small kerb view window probably rules out Commer Walkthru. -- Last edit: 2021-04-26 10:20:18 |

This type of vehicle, but obviously not a Transit of this series. Link to "www.rmtoys.co.uk" |

spectacle lift on a breakdown/recovery truck. Too blurred at the moment for any good ideas... Hawson type body and Bedford CF possibly but less likely, it could be a J-type. |

Bedford J2 Hawson van with spectacle recovery lift , built originally for the AA . Thought tracking down a photo would be easy but eluded me so far. I have seen pics of one somewhere ! -- Last edit: 2021-04-26 18:30:11 |
