I think it’s this one. https://www.flickr.com/photos/tarbyonline/14060851835/ Leyland Tiger PS1/Guernsey Bus. -- Last edit: 2021-04-24 16:26:39 |

Confirmed, John! I've managed to get the registration from the movie footage: 839XUJ. The livery is right I guess for Ribble, but it's actually with Belfast City Sightseeing now, formerly with Ensign, but new to Jersey MT. The movie was shot not in the Lake District, but in Northern Ireland. |

It’s not on BLOTW, under this registration, maybe they’ve not changed it yet. |

I didn't do my full homework: it was Ensign reregistered it, it was originally J5660 on Jersey, Leyland PS1/1 with a Reading body, and it's on BLOTW with that reg. At some point it was rebuilt by Guernsey Bus. |

👍 May 1951. It seems to have had a few identities. https://www.flickr.com/search/?q=J5660 -- Last edit: 2021-04-24 18:27:59 |

We've identified this vehicle using the details you provided DAF UNKNOWN 1951 Registration number: 839 XUJ Body type: S/D Bus/Coach Colour: Red And Cream Date of first registration: February 2003 ✓ SORN Date of first registration February 2003 Year of manufacture 1951 Cylinder capacity 7700 cc Fuel type DIESEL Date of last V5C (logbook) issued 22 October 2020 ... which seems bizarre. But if someone got their Leylands muxed ip with Leyland DAF, it makes a kind of sense. |

...not to be confused with Leyland-DAB, of course :-), I guess the last incarnation of Leyland was Leyland DAF, but it shows a spectacular ignorance. |
