I´m not sure if this was called Dart, or even Dodge. I think it was locally assembled? |

It was called the Valiant Charger, and yes, locally assembled |

Why is the Aussie Valiant ute listed as Chrysler for make and the Valiant Charger and Rebel listed as Valiant for Make? Surely they should all be listed as Chrysler Valiants. Moby's page has pics listed as Chrysler Valiant http://www.moby302.co.za/photo/a_e.html#Chrysler -- Last edit: 2008-01-27 00:00:25 |

I know all Australian Valiants were defimitely Chrysler Valiants, US Valiants were Plymouths except for 1960 which were Valiant as seperate Make, but I don't know about South African Valiants except that they use a mixture of US and Australian models, and US and Australian components |

Not Australian origin - this is an earlier 1971 Charger model that used the US Dodge/Plymouth body. See: /vehicle_1302844-Chrysler-Valiant-Charger-1971.html |
