 In Australia Mazda 626s didn't come with 4WS but the Ford Telstar TX5 twin did. Maybe a NZ expert could clarify

 If it is in NZ its most likely to be a JDM used import - Mazda Capella or Ford Telstar. None of the NZDM Telstars/626s had 4WS... even power steering was a luxury in local ones.
