This looks a bit simpler and smaller than a Silver Cloud. Could it actually be a Bentley S2 or is the plate real? (It is RHD after all) |

Gamer, a Silver Cloud and a Bentley S, no matter which series, but series by series, are each of identical design, radiator and badging apart. The plate may be genuine in terms of it being a plate, but is anachronistic. NS is the mark for the County Council of Sutherland, and issues had only reached NS 5685 when the system was changed to include the suffix letter in 1964. (In this case). Sutherland commenced suffix issues on 1st July 1964. L suffix as seen on the car is current for 1st August 1972 until 31 July 1973, the Standard Steel Cloud and its Bentley counterpart ceased in 1965.
