Maybe Animatronixx knows this - Henney, maybe? On the other hand, the roof looks rather high so maybe local coachwork?

@Lateef: Yeah, I'm aware of this problem, but have no good solution so far. It's definitely not Henney or Brantford and the coachwork is clearly European - Scandinavia or BeNeLux would have been my first guess. Helsinki had various Packard ambulances in service back then and I'm expecting a coachbuilder from Helsinki here, but my research remained fruitless to date.

Edit: Pretty sure the coachbuilder in question also did the stretch job, as Packard would not have supplied him with the commercial chassis.

Update: These ambulances were sold and commissioned by Autola Oy, who were the official Packard distributor in Finland, as far as I understand. Here is an article that tells us quite a bit about these ambulances - all we need to do is understand what it says! :D

With a bit of educated guesswork, some witches' brew and the usual multiplication table of coachbuilding archaeology I formed the suspicion that the Helsinki Packard ambulances were probably coachbuilt by Helsingin Autokoritehdas aka. 'Helko' - that means Helsinki Car Body Factory. They reportedly made ambulance bodies and might be the unknown Helsinki-based coachbuilder we are looking for.

And now that I discovered again how much I don't speak that language, some help by a Finnish member would be very welcome to either confirm or destroy my suspicion by checking the aforementioned websites and especially the article. @Raul1983 - are you there?

The following picture was taken from the website in my first link of this post. Caption: "Autola Oy:n tilaama Ambulanssi – 1937 Packard 120. Kuva: Pietinen, Museovirasto." = Ambulance ordered by Autola Oy - 1937 Packard 120. Photo: Pietinen, National Board of Antiquities.

"Ambulanssi" would be the correct term in Finland. Shouldn't we use that rather than ambulance for these Packards?

At last, a substantial update regarding the Finnish Packard Ambulances: Oy Uusi Autokoriteollisuus AB built this one in Helsinki. Memorizing that name is not gonna happen going to take me a while. They could have made it a lot easier for me to find out by just using their later name Wiima, but apparently it was more fun this way.
