Correct name is V-TEC. According to our usual reference: https://hondacodes.wordpress.com/complete-honda-chassis-code-list/ these should be [RD4] or [RD5] depending if 4WD or not, I believe. |

On my Gmom’s old 2002 there was an All-Time 4WD decal. Or something like that. http://gtcarlot.com/colors/car/7511924-6.html Do EU models have such a decal? |

Doesn't seems so: Link to "ipocars.com" I can't recall seeing such decal ![]() |

Back to [RD] then. Darn at least in the US we got the decal. Do plate checks denote 4x2 or 4x4 in GB? Vehicle make HONDA Date of first registration September 2005 Year of manufacture 2005 Cylinder capacity 1998 cc CO₂ emissions 221 g/km Fuel type PETROL Euro status Not available Real Driving Emissions (RDE) Not available Export marker No Vehicle status Taxed and due Vehicle colour BLUE Vehicle type approval M1 Wheelplan 2 AXLE RIGID BODY Revenue weight Not available Date of last V5C (logbook) issued 16 January 2020 @Sandie or dsl any idea if the drivetrain differs on the plate checks for 4x2 or 4x4? -- Last edit: 2021-02-05 16:17:06 |

There are a few British 2.0s without any code, indeed ![]() |

I think we only had 4WD ones for this shape in the UK. Check for this only says VTEC Sport Automatic and the site I use to look up specs only lists the VTEC Sport as a 4WD version. Made here too (I think all UK second generation CR-Vs were built here?). As an aside, I didn't realise until now that the first generation CR-V was built in the UK too for later years. |

I checked and we too received only 4WD ones for this generation. Hence we didn't need the sticker ![]() |

US has both 4WD and the rare 2WD model but our displacement was higher. However, our market only received the 2.4 motor hence our codes differ. [RD6] http://gtcarlot.com/colors/car/21239421-25.html [RD7] http://gtcarlot.com/colors/car/8155336-19.html -4WD http://importarchive.com/brochure/hondacrv2005_01 @bux48 https://cars.tyreleader.co.uk/tyres/honda/cr-v/cr-v-1704/ [RD8] is UK. Not sure where [RD5/4] come into the mix. See the UK part site. -- Last edit: 2021-02-05 20:46:30 |

Indeed so I misread the list I linked (or there's an error). So there are a few others to change, and I'm quite sure I saw one listed with RD5.. |

Link to "www.civicforums.com" Not sure if that muddles the waters...or if that is accurate. [RD5] is JDM: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=V5hDAzOwpYQ Link to "www.civicforums.com" -- Last edit: 2021-02-05 21:14:47 |

Yes, it appears that RD4 was a FWD version for the Philippines, good find ![]() Then we have an EU VIN here and it's RD8: /vehicle.php?id=1172317 |
