I couldn't find this telescopic handler in construction pictures or videos, but it most likely belonged to the showman's fleet at the time.

And that leads us directly to another episode of IMARDb (Internet Movie Amusement Rides Database) answering questions nobody asked: Geisterschlange ("Ghost Snake") is a portable 3-story ghost train, built by Heinrich Mack GmbH & Co. KG, Waldkirch (of Europa-Park Rust fame) in 1979. It was owned and operated by Emil Lehmann of Stuttgart, nowadays Worms, over a period of 39 years until he sold it to the Allgäu Skyline Parkin Rammingen near Bad Wörishofen, where it is now a stationary ride. Here is an insightful German documentary about the process of transferring Geisterschlange into the amusement park and the struggles of showman Lehmann letting it go. An onride video, filmed when they were still touring with that ride, gives an idea of the nostalgic charm.

Geisterschlange regularly attended the "Heinerfest" in Darmstadt, a local funfair event, where the scenes for "Diese Drombuschs" were most likely filmed.

Coincidentally, this is the one amusement ride which once awakened my almost lifelong fascination with this kind of athmospheric funfair attractions: I first rode it at the age of seven in 1982 and for the last time to date in 2015. :)
