Aren't the Bel Air of these years only coupés & convertibles ? |

Not sure about the Bel Air situation but I don't think it's an Impala. I think it is much more likely to be a base model Chevrolet Biscayne. |

That's either a Bel Air or a Biscayne. Biscaynes were mostly sold to fleets back then, but a few were available to the public. Bel Airs were only available as four-door sedans from 1970-1976 during the seventies. No Bel Air has been made since 1976, with the exception of a 2002 concept car. This is more likely to be a Bel Air than a rarer Biscayne. -- Last edit: 2006-03-15 21:37:19 |

My great uncle had 1977 BelAir 4 door sedan and I'm pretty sure that they were available as 2 doors too. I have seen many early 70's Biscaynes here in Canada. And the BelAir model was available as a two door hardtop/coupe too! The car in the picture is a 1971 Chevrolet Biscayne or BelAir. Look at the louvers on the trunk door, they were found only on the 1971 models. |

That looks like 1971 Chevrolet Biscayne to me... |

With better picture here, it does have the Biscayne script at the front fender. |
