1985 only (12" wheels but no 86+ side indicator). I'd call it a 1000 E as the usual export name for a Mini City, but I've got a book picture of a 1985 German ad for a red one as Austin Mini HLE (text within the ad, not a caption) which only makes sense for the middle word of the three for 1985, so I think I need a glass of Scottish moon juice*. I'll settle for Mini 1000 HLE as an acceptable compromise, while wondering what happened to the door handle. (*it's Burns Night, so it might end up being 2 glasses of Scottish moon juice. But only after I've caught a haggis - they're slippery wee things ...) |
