Visible, distinctive side vents on the rear wings... Ferrari 196 S Dino with Fantuzzi bodywork? : Link to "upload.wikimedia.org" Problem is I can't find anyone who raced with the #10 race number, if this was a race/practise at all. |

Sure looks like a 196S/246S and I would be tempted to think footage is from Sebring 1960, but... it could also be from Le Mans. In latter case #10 could be 250 TR Fantuzzi 0780, that seemed to combine smaller body dimensions of a "Dino" 196S/246S with a big V12. Photos of the car are scarse as it was rebuilt as a 250 TRI development car after Le Mans. |

I think I nailed, it looks like Le Mans entry #9 - a 250TR 0770 - is running up ahead.![]() |

Doesn't look to me like race footage - Sebring was airfield, Le Mans a wider road and should have some race furniture or crowd, and driver doesn't seem to have crash helmet. More like a blat around English country lane?? |

Not during race, off course, looks like a relaxed warm up/test drive around town, or simply moving the cars to the track from where they were kept. Sebring had a very similar culture, with cars kept in nearby hangars and industrial buildings where they could be serviced and parked, locked up and guarded. Racing cars used to drive back and forth prior to the race which was great nuisance or entertainment for local people depending on whether you were enthusiastic about racing or not! And yes, Le Mans used to be a very small town on French countryside, so the scenery too is a perfect match! -- Last edit: 2020-12-16 18:26:14 |

![]() ![]() A few seconds later. Buildings more likely France or italy possibly than USA? Cyclists show it to be 'driving on the right' country and not within a circuit perimeter. -- Last edit: 2020-12-16 19:30:41 |

Hope not to bore you to death, but went through all the photos I have from Le Mans and found one bad photo showing 0780 #10 from the rear. The photo is clear enough to show that the position of racing number is exactly the same.![]() |
