I think what you are seeing in the last thumbnail is something in the background, not a hood ornament. In fact, based on the absence of rear door gravel guards, and painted tail lamp / head lamp housings, this appears to be a Champion Custom, which came without a hood ornament! Agree, 1950 based on your observation of the trunk lid handle. Also, looks like it has the narrower tail lamps and a divided rear window, also 1950 features. Oddly though, the bumper guards look like the 1951 style, but it could be the lighting. (A later upgrade, perhaps?) |
