tw2003 ◊ 2020-11-17 16:09	Well as the Series II was normally without covered head lamps I would tend to Series I. However, as proven by Khaosth, Series II might also come with those covers but both are different to what we see here.
dsl ◊ 2020-11-17 17:06	S2 seems to have had quarterlights and taller rear lights than S1, so I vote S1. The red S2 in Khaosth's link was apparently "The only example that is factory certified as having covered headlamps ... from new" so the coveredlights = S1 rule seems pretty good. Only 40 S1 cabrios made, compared to about 200 S2.
chammo ◊ 2022-01-15 14:30	Specs varied a little during S.1 production. 10 last cars had a front bumper and 6 of those had closed headlights. Only a handful had side vents so this is a pretty normal late spec S.1 cabriolet. Lack of vent window is the easy way to tell S.1 and S.2 apart.
