That's a Plymouth Cuda isn't it? The rear lights are a little off-putting though, makes it look more like a 70s Skyline...

What's the difference(s) between a 'Cuda and a Barracuda?

'Cudas were the high-performance models from 1970-1974, with hotter engines than the standard Barracuda. 'Cudas always had dual-scooped hoods (or optional "Shaker" scoops in 1970 and 1971), 14 or 15 inch wheels, bucket seats, high-end suspension, and special trim, among other differences.

Here's an original 1972 advertisement for the Barracuda and the 'Cuda, showing some differences between the two: http://www.imperialclub.com/Yr/1972/ChryslerPlymouth/Page08-09_reg.jpg

The car seen here is definitely a 1972 Plymouth E-body, but it's very difficult to tell whether it's a 'Cuda or a Barracuda. The car appears to have the 'Cuda dual-scooped hood and the 'Cuda-specific front driving lights, but those were a popular add-ons for lower-level Barracudas: People were trying to clone Barracudas into Cudas even in the mid 1970s. The car has a 1970 'Cuda AAR spoiler, which has DEFINITELY been added on, so that might lend credence to the hood and front lights being added. Some Other 'Cuda specific parts, such as exhaust tips and interior parts, simply aren't visible. The wheels on this car seen to be aftermarket (Centerline or Weld wheels, I think), so no help there.

Watching the episode now, the car appears to have all the 'Cuda equipment, including what appears to be 'Cuda badging. In fact, I think it's probably this same car that appeared in the background just a few episodes earlier: /vehicle_133237-Plymouth--Cuda-1972.html

The rollover car may well be a different vehicle, however. For one thing, I can't help but notice it had a single exhaust.

Definitely more then one Cuda used, notice how it has an AAR spoiler in some of these pictures but not in others and its a right side mirror, but only when it has the spoiler, also has factory looking bumper guards (at least rear ones)so maybe the jump car had a 318 and the other one had a 340?

Following up on that, the cars also appear to have different wheels. The car with the AAR spoiler and right side mirror has Centerline-style wheels, whereas the other one appears to have Cragar SSs. Different sizes and tire fitments, too.

Curiously, the flip car looks more like the non-spoiler, non-mirror car, but it's wearing the Centerline-style wheels there.

Close-ups of the driver you can see the 1974 only seatbelts, which seems to be the main one used in the chase: you can it has rear bumper guards (but not front ones) so does the flip car, and you look real close it has the same '74 style seatbelts.[Image: vlcsnap-2021-12-04-00h07m55s049.jpg]
