... = Southampton, April-May 55. DTR is interesting as a part wartime issue Feb 44 to April 46; the first plate issued in 1945 was 120. Queen Mary behind is still in WW2 "Grey Ghost" livery - "... in September 1946 she began a ten month refit during which she was returned to pre-war condition and colour, resuming normal transatlantic service on 25 July 1947." |

The hood is reminiscent of 37 US Ford. The roofline (in particular the smooth back) and door configuration does not match factory-built US Ford wagons, so I support the Irish-built theory. A picture showing a match would be preferable, though. |
