Lincoln ambulances are about as rare as Barbra Streisands. This is none of the few units I know of and it's not like we see that much of the coachwork here... The Derham Body Co. of Rosemont, Pennsylvania bodied at least one (earlier) Zephyr ambulance, but I can't see if this one might be another. The only solid info I have are the roof-mounted emergency lights, which strongly hint at the Shop of Siebert of Toledo, Ohio, who were mainly known for low-priced conversions on Ford and Mercury chassis. That would be my guess here, or possibly a one-off by a local coachbuilder from Arizona. |
