Top-of-the-line luxury Limited Edition (the best that money can buy as far as Taurus’s are concerned) |

Neptune, why are you so facinated with the new Taurus? I like it too of course, it is one of my favorite new cars out there in fact ![]() But you just seem to know a lot about it, and I was wondering what about it struck you? Is it because it is so big? (you seem to like big cars, hence the Expedition ![]() |

I like them ok, I looked at a few of them when I bought my new 2008 Expedition. I like the Taurus especially in the Limited Edition guise. It’s a very impressive car. I wish Ford would do a V8 version. I like the new three-bar grille and flush linear headlamps. It looks mean from the front. I like that. |

Well I thought the older front looked better, but this one's ok too ![]() A V8 would be very nice ![]() ![]() |

Ford needs to resurrect the SHO model. A SHO Taurus would give Toyota and Honda a scare. |

I read something about how they're makinging a sportier model with the 2010 redesign. It's not called SHO though, it's called SI or something like that, I can't remember... But what do mean it'd give Toyota and Honda a scare? They don't have any such model that would compete with a full-size Taurus SHO at all ![]() With the exception of the Avalon, neither even has a full-size sedan, let alone a sport model one! |

I was referring to the fact that the Accord and Camry are the Taurus competitors (or at least they use to be) I know the Taurus use to be considered a Mid-size car. Though now I think it is classified as a Full-size car. no? |

Yes, at 202 inches long it is definitely full-size now. You must remember, the "Taurus" is just a name. The car that the name is on now is just a Five Hundred, which was solidly full-size from the start. It has nothing to do at all with the original 1986-2007 Taurus (which was a mid-size) So the current Taurus is not competeing with the Camry or the Accord, the that's the Fusion's job. The current Taurus is competing with other full-size sedans such as the Lucerne, Charger, Avalon, G8, and Impala. -- Last edit: 2008-08-09 04:44:53 |
