Fairly sure that underneath all the garbage there's a late 70s Aus build Californian, relaunched in 1977. May well be Nov 79 upgrade which got 1275cc again (after mid-70s return to 998cc) - details such as big mirrors on stalks, bigger front quarter screens, roll bar, headrests etc. Only slight query is it seems to be LHD, where I'd expect RHD but there's no definite glimpse of where the wheel is. Portugese Mokes started in 1980, but unlikely to have got as far as Japan so quickly for film date, and they had small round sidelights. |
