Surely later than 1968 with those black plastic door handles? Didn't the early ones have chrome handles? Also, I thought all taxis in London had to be black - this one looks like a dark red? Never seen one in this colour before.

It's either a 1987+ FX4S Plus similar to the one listed or a 1989+ Fairway by the plastic mirrors. Is anything decipherable of the plate within the scene?

Non-black cabs are not that unusual, particularly since the end of the 80s.

I don't know really. The car just looks like one of them 1/24 model kits really.

A striking similarity when it comes to POV and color indeed, on the other hand the chrome bumpers with overriders are different.
Just like AOSHIMA had used this movie pic and retouched it for model box art.
