Too much chrome to be a GLT in my opinion and the door rubbing strips are very thin. The black grille with chrome surround makes me think 340. It also looks to me like a saloon. I’m not sure of either of those last two things as the picture is very fuzzy. Is there such thing as a 1984/1985 340GLE saloon in other markets? (Not available in UK). If not it could be a 360 that has had its grille replaced with the wrong item at some time. |

I don't know well the Volvo 300-Series, but as a reference, according to my magazines' price lists, in 1984/85 we got the following models: 340 GL 3/5-doors 340 GL Sedan 340 GLE Sedan 360 GLE Sedan 360 GLT 3/5-doors Sedan was introduced February 1984, all 3-doors discontinued February 1985. Haven't got any sales data, but knowing our market, for sure 1.4 340 was more common than 2.0 360 if there's any to default. |
