Skid ◊ 2009-04-20 03:09	Nope...the U.S. military started phasing these out in the early '80s and had sold off the last of them by the late '90s. According to the director, though, the Jeep (along with the outdated uniform the MP driving it was wearing) was a deliberate anachronism, to try and somewhat conceal the exact era that the film is supposed to be occurring in. I'm not sure why they bothered with that, though, and still had the characters carrying modern devices like cellular phones.
