It's a 1941 model, it also says so on the card, here. And as usual, it's lifted up, which raises questions about the chassis here... -- Last edit: 2020-05-07 23:50:56 |

[s]But as 1940 Eight Convertible there[/s] https://dubikvit.livejournal.com/100937.html So yes, it's 1941. But what about the name of the model? With grille from GAZ M-20. -- Last edit: 2020-05-08 18:29:03 |

1940 and 1941 Buick's look different --> 1940 Buick --> 1941 Buick It's also referred as a 1941 on the plate: https://all-andorra.com/ru/byuik-kabriolet-1941-kinostudiya-mosfilm/ And here, the model is referred as a 1941 Special: Link to "autodrom31.ru" -- Last edit: 2020-05-08 18:34:58 |

Cool story, but is can't believe it at all. Especially considering that the entire "restoration" came down to hanging the grill from the M-20, a homemade bumper made of tin, and other authentic things. |

^ That story is irrelevant, but the 1941 Special part definitely sounds more reasonable than a 1940 "Eight". Frankly most of the Mosfilm's cars are terribly preserved and "restored", if "restored" is even the right word for that. |

If I got it right and it's the same, this car has been in Mosfilm's ownership since the early fifties. At 15:16: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHug8mK1zlo Another actor's life ruined by drugs and alcohol. -- Last edit: 2023-10-01 21:00:09 |
