But the chrome door handles should be visible (even on the pic I replaced) as they'd stand out on the black car. Chrome mirror kits are a fairly easy to get for non-Daimler models cf: http://www.brooklandmotorfactors.co.uk/category-93/2.7689.html Secondly, the wheel comment seems like a (bad) guess to me. Those look most like the 17inch 'Celtic' alloys which were not fitted on Daimlers, let alone the Super V8. They were used on 4.0 XJ8s and I think optional on other (Jaguar) models. Super V8s used 17inch Solar wheels which look very different. I honestly think this is a Jaguar that has added chrome. -- Last edit: 2013-10-23 00:20:20 |

Actually I think you're right about the alloys. OK you win, it's a Jag with a chrome mirror kit. But there was a bad pic here when I made that comment  I think the last time I looked at this it had been named as a Daimler Century (which is much rarer)So, XJ8 LWB? -- Last edit: 2013-10-23 01:25:38 |

My apologies for not leaving the old pic (where you could also identify the design of wheels as not being the Daimler ones ) up. The quality of these DVDs still isn't as good as it should be, anyway. XJ8 is a good idea as any, though it might be a Sovereign. |
