It has a flat head V8 engine and the radiator shell looks like a 1932. I would think its a 1932 Model 18 - somewhat modified (fenders and bumber removed). Edit: There were two models in 1932, the model B had an inline 4 cylinder engine and the model 18 had the new V8. Practically the only difference was the engine. -- Last edit: 2007-11-12 22:38:28 |

The green car is a Model A Ford. Only Model A's had a visible gas cap on the cowl in front of the windshield. The radiator shell is a 1930. The 1932 "Model 18" had an actual grill with the shell painted the body color. Model A's only had the nickel plated shell with the face of the radiator open. The engine is a 24 stud 39' through 48' flathead V-8 (waterhoses to the center of the heads). The wheels are 40' or later Ford wheels. The yellow car in the foreground has a 32' grill on it for reference. |
