Is Hagenwalde a fictious location within the movie? When I google it I find it's the old name for what is now Fevralskoe, in former East Prussia. |

.gif ":)") I did the same, googling for that name, because I never heard it before.It's obviously a fictious name - and of course without any relation to the real Hagenwalde before 1945. The old German names of locations in former, pre-1945 German territories were an absolute taboo in the DDR. In the Zone they even renamed any streets with names from there as "Danziger Straße"  I have to ask a Zoni, if they even renamed https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Königsberger_Klopse https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tilsit_cheese and https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goldwasser The last one was definitely unknown in the Zone, as it was produced after 1945 exclusively in Bremen. Seems, as it was filmed around Karl-Marx-Stadt (nowadays Chemnitz again), as there is an "Albertifest" /vehicle_1372551-Wartburg-353W-1984.html |

But by the "-walde" suffix this is probably somewhere in Brandenburg or around Berlin. |
