The rear window looks deeper one... My vote for 4-door. |

If German dates were similar to UK, there was only a short window between these bumpers with plastic ends (Oct 74+) and saloons being totally replaced by hatches (April/June 75). But I'm not voting, just observing ..... |

Sorry again, @130rapid - but the back windows weren't different between the Sedan and the Hatchback. |

@s13a, is there a shot showing any more of the rear corner? The goal is of course to see the gap for the lid at the rain gutter end or for the hatch at the top corner. Or any more of the rear at all. @ingo, @130rapid - FWIW there are subtle external differences, but not visible here: Rear window sits slightly lower on 5-door, to accomodate the hinges and frame. Also the rear part, below window, seems shorter- anyway the window rubber surround has four rounded corners on the 5-door hatch, while the lower edges are squared on the 4-dooor to meet the lid. Also the lid of the 4-door has sharp outer corners, while the 5-door hatch has rounded corners. @dsl, they not only survived (Freely translated: ...also delivered with a large hatch...) but also outsold the hatchbacks over the years. So it's more likely to be a 4-door, actually |
