No handle on the bonnet, early grill would be April 1952 to October 1953.

Windscreen has gone, so cannot definitely say if divided or one-piece. Small rear window is before the Minor 1000 (model year 1957).

This is a 918cc side valve series MM Morris Minor. The lack of a bonnet mascot as mentioned above means it is not a series II with the 803cc Austin A30 engine. Only the horizontally barred grille was fitted to the 1000, this is the grille fitted to all MMs either high or low light, and to some early series IIs. High headlight Series MMs started in February 1951 and were discontinued progressively during 1953, the four door model being the first to get the new engine and transmission.

That bonnet badge is the type fitted to all Series 2 and later 1000 models. The additional 'flying' M mascot fitted to the top of the bonnet is clearly missing, which makes definitive identification difficult. The later Series 2 models from sometime in 1954 were fitted with the more recognisable 'later' horizontal grill that lasted till the end of production in 1971. This could very well be a Series MM with the later lower bonnet badge fitted, and the earlier mazak strip has been removed due to the later badge taking the hole in the bonnet that locates the earlier mazak strip.

A mess. Plated grille only until March 51. Bonnet looks later, so unreliable probable replacement. Agree main looks small rear window, but 2nd thumb seems bigger format?? Also looks as if thumbs have less damaged screen and bonnet than main. 2 cars??
