The car driven by Number 6 was a powder blue S3 (type 45) dhc. It was a standard car, not an SE, but it had sill trims and knock on wheels.

May have been the same Elan used by Emma Peel in the Avengers but on different plates.

Confirmed as LVF 120E, an April 67 Norfolk plate so local to factory. An interesting forum thread pointing out that many mid-late 1960s Lotus press/publicity cars had 120 plates - including the obvious Prisoner Seven KAR 120C - Link to "www.lotuselan.net" - but no explanation.

Quote - "Cars from approximately 1964 to 1970 with a Hertfordshire or Norfolk registration number ending in 120 (LNK 120C, DUR 120B, SAR 120D, NAH 120F, LPW 120E) and RPW 444G, VVF 900G, AVF 444J (Press cars) would have belonged to Lotus Cars (Sales) Ltd as executive cars, press cars etc" From Graham Arnold's Buyers Guide. Those dates mirror his first stint at Lotus, so he was responsible for the 120 theme.

It was the same car that had been used in the Avengers. It's a standard S3 made to look like an S/E, but it lacks most of the S/E features. The alloy door kick plates are from a '66 car and had been dropped by '67, which supports Lotus swapping the number plates over.
