Vanguard Ph1, 52+ grille but no spats. A surprise find - I'd have thought the French had better taste than preserving one of these ugly monstrosities. |

Fairly sure Coventry did LHD for general export to most places. Imperia seems to have been Benelux focussed, but did occasional batches elsewhere (eg Madagascar mentioned), so possible they sent a few to F - I've no idea. But it might explain a 1952 without spats as B-build?? |

This site http://users.skynet.be/imperia/photos.html shows Impéria built Vanguards, complete with spats. (Assuming that by spats we both mean the same thing.) |
