In what was the most bizarre rebranding ever, these facelift ones were called Elantra here. |

@Sandie. Our market received body colored exterior mirrors for 2000. Same over there? |

Good question... i've looked on Google and it seems the colour coded mirrors were always available on the facelift and at least some pre-facelifts here: Link to "aacarsdna.com" https://www.flickr.com/photos/47381765@N04/41059396542 What I've also found is that I was wrong with my first comment, memory letting me down ![]() |

Funnily enough, I considering making a poor, obscure joke about how we call Excel files Pony files here but thought better of it. |

Glass's has Elantra as Feb 2001 launch here, with body colour mirrors on GSI and CDX, but not Si. The only mention I can see for body colour mirror Lantras (both before from Nov 95 and after June 98 facelift as "New Lantra") is Feb 97 2.0 GSi saloon. Top New Lantra versions were 1.6 GSi and 2.0 CDX. |

My mother’s last car was P243 PAV, a Lantra Estate with Jatco automatic gearbox bought at about 6 months old, which she kept until she died about ten years later, having done few miles. I have been cudgelling what is left of my brain to see if I can recall its mirrors. The impression is that they must have been body coloured, as the car was white, and I don’t recall black blobs when they were folded. |
