Strange to use this vehicle for a scene in Berlin. It would have been more logical to see a VW Transporter ![]() ![]() |

They were not uncommon in Germany. The VW Transporter was smaller and an alternative in this size was from Mercedes-Benz ... which came with a hefty price tag. In Germany they are known as 'HY', not as 'H'. |

I 'think there is a difference between H and HY, which is known in France as well. I wonder if it could be about the type of windscreen and rear window and engine as well. The picture here shows one of the last versions made (in the late 70's) with windscreen in one part and square shape rear windows (unvisible here)...could be a HY, while earlier versions of the 50's had a 2 part windscreen and narrow rear window could be H...but I am not sure about a so simple distinction! In france the H and HY wer often nicknamed as "TUB" |

Yes that is the exact model of "TUB" , but this name was given after "as nickname" for the H...obviously it has never been correct!...c'est un abus de langage mais très fréquent chez les gens en France. |

I think that Volkswagen doesn't sell vans in the US. |

They used a Transporter (well, "Eurovan") in other episodes, so they have one. |
