Could the goldmetallic one in the front a SEL? The back door looks longer than at the W 108 in the back (which has the big lamps, too) On the first view I thought, that the one on the front could be a 300 SEL 6.3 (  ), but it has steel-wheels with hub-caps. |

That's what I was thinking 5mn ago, I agree with you Ingo... it has the 4 round head-lamps , and hub-caps as the fisrt 300 SEL 6.3 of 1968 .... indeed, it's one my most desirable Mercedes-Benz ever produced (a very speed machine with the V8 6330 cc of the 600 under the bonnet) |

Mine, too No other Benz plays in the same league for me, not the 450 SEL 6.9 either. A 600 is fantastic, too - but the understatement of the 6.3 makes the attractive difference. But this ultimate dream car is forbidden for me (by my wife)  She sais, that there is no use for it  |

Ja, hmm, I'm orientated about both solutions. 1st: she is not really against the 6.3, she even like the shape more than the K 70, but she says, that one old car is enough. If I would buy a 6.3, the K 70 must go (also the 2 garages with spare-parts and my club-work). About this I don't allow any discussion. This is "my" car, "my" hobby - which lasts longer since every relation to a woman. I made it clear at first to her (also to the girl-friends before): "This is my hobby, you have to accept it. I can slow down it a bit, but to giving it up will not happen". 2nd: ahem... No. So important is the 6.3 not for me. To buy the 6.3 in addition to the K 70, would be a reason for divorcing - for my wife. We are planning to built a house and perhaps some children. If I would spend money for something totally different, it would be over. |
