The bonnet bulge, the VX badge on the grille and the front spoiler identify a 1983+ Lancia H.P.Executive Volumex. |

Isn't it supposed to be listed as "Beta HP Executive"? Or even just Beta HPE"? Edit: it seems that you are right, that it was the name since 1982: http://www.italian-cars-club.com/Squadra-Beta/LanciaBetaHPE.htm Though that I am still not sure if Beta name should be included or not, in this one and in others. But is the current "Wagon" category right? -- Last edit: 2007-10-28 21:39:51 |

About the name, and as you wrote, from the 1982 model year on they were just called H.P.Executive. About the cathegory, I had my doubts, too, but actually HPE meant High Performance Estate and I suppose the Volvo 1800 ES are also listed as wagon. Nevertheless, I reckon it's not easy to really know how to classify it. |

We have three of these now, one listed as wagon, one as coupé and one as hatchback... ![]() |

As I wrote, this one is not easy... What do you suggest? |

I guess we can list these as Estate |

It was supposed to be a sports car (well, sort of), I'd rather say coupé. |

The HPE is NOT a wagon (or break in french). It's a coupe, a hatchback, a shooting brake, whatever, but not a wagon. |
