The color and some other features would suggest so - just to find the model now, though...!

That's not MM. The color could be MM, but that's not original. Neither is that homemade "deluxe" seat. This will forever remain in the unknown category because it is impossible to tell whether it is a B, C, or CA. I can tell you it is definitely an allis chalmers. It's not equipped with a battery, so if I were to guess, I would say it is a B. Usually the C's had a battery ignition, opposed to magneto ignition, although they shared the same engine as the B and CA. If you could kindly reach into the picture and peel the tarp from the tractor, I'll tell you exactly. :-)

for reference, here is a picture of an Allis-Chalmers CA. http://www.oktractor.com/acdatapics/ca_lrg.jpg look at the rear of the hood, below the hood at the access panel, the steering column, and note the newer style air cleaner and battery box that is not on this Allis Chalmers.

We can list it with just the make if model is not possible to know ;)

If 'B' is most likely we could use that.
John, would you be happy with that? You seem to know a lot about farm machinery. ... BTW, welcome to IMCDb!

Thanks for the welcome! You could definitely call it a Allis Chalmers B. If anyone can prove that wrong, then they are definitely a bigger tractor nut than me!

It's good to have a tractor nut on board! :D

Perhaps you can have a look here:

I found just two but would really like to know what the others are.

thanks for the link. I already knocked out the obvious mccormick auto-mower. that is a very famous picture held by the wisconsin historical society. it's a famous machine, as well!
