The green/blue on the left. Pretty small, but also non-typical background car like for the mid-90's, I think. |

I think it could be a 1954 ( introduced in the autumn 1953 ) Bristol 404. A very rare car of which 52 were made. http://www.motorbase.com/profiles/vehicle/picture.ehtml?i=478;p=81242259 -- Last edit: 2007-10-24 21:42:21 |

That would be nice. Indeed somehow similar: http://auto.howstuffworks.com/bristol-sports-cars3.htm |

Smaller than a Bristol I think... Reminds me of a 1960s low production sports car. Rochdale was my first idea but the Bond Equipe GT looks closest I believe... ![]() ... even the colour looks the same. |

It is a rather small image, but still I would say the details don't match a Bond Equipe GT 2+2. The Bond has a flat roof (side-to-side), rather upright side windows, a shorter rear window, the rather prominent rear edge and -- most important for me to rule it out -- a rear skirt below the bumper. I think the idea that it is a Bristol 404 (1953-55) is quite convincing. Even the position of the exhaust matches. The 404 is 1,7 metres wide ... now you have to measure double yellow lines, Sunbar! If they end roughly about 40 cm off the kerb it would match. |
