I am going to suggest that the sporting looking coachwork may be by Hooper.

Is it possible that the coachwork was done by Mann Egerton ?

One of them was pictured in 1983, and it says it is currently located in Canada, where this movie was largely filmed, but I can't find a single picture of how it looks today:

Edit: Nevermind, here's this exact car for sale:

Yes, I think that you have cracked it. Look at the decidedly anachronistic mirrors.

I normally associate Mann Egerton with buses.

Looks strange with modern wires,

Says [GAE38], BGY 978 plates (= London, Sept-Oct 1934). Mann Egerton info - originally a Norwich dealership opened in 1905, later dealer expansion (including Rolls Royce and Bentley showroom in central London), aircraft manufacture during WW1, coachbuilding (including refrigerated vehicles for companies such as Findus and Birds Eye, WW2 Austin K2/Y ambulances), wooden school furniture, and electrical services. Defunct by 1986.

It was probably fitted with those wheels from new, there’s nothing modern about wires.
Most Royces and Bentleys of that era had wires from new, but most coachbuilders fitted covers, the chauffeurs would prefer to avoid cleaning wire wheels.

Mann Egerton built some fabulous (in the correct sense) 1 1/2 deck buses as well.

This site is really worth looking at....... https://myntransportblog.com/tag/mann-egerton/

But DON’T take the dates shown on it as correct - they aren’t all accurate, nor are some of the attributions accompanying the photographs. Notwithstanding, this is still an interesting site.

Could this be the car in Mann Egerton showroom?
