This is actually a 2017 Ram 2500 Laramie Longhorn Mega Cab, not a 2018. I purchased from a company who leased it to Paramount Studios. The vehicle is from seasons 1,2, and part of 3. It was Cole Hauser's (Rip) set truck.

Is the truck titled as a 2017, or is 2017 just the date on the build sticker in the door jamb? All of the 17 Longhorns I've seen have White Gold as the lower accent color. It's also the only color mentioned in the '17 2500/3500 brochure.

2018 is the first year the Walnut Brown lower accent is shown for the Longhorn trim.

So you're the reason this beauty didn't make it to season 3 (just kidding of course)! Thanks for the info Snowbum, and welcome to the site!

I think the company you bought it from might have over estimated how much it was actually used by Rip, because I only remember him driving it once (maybe twice). The 2010 Ram has been his main truck throughout the show.

EDIT: I don't remember this truck making in appearance in seasons 1 or 3

@Snowbum Is it possible you are confusing this ram with the other one on the site (link below) that is a 2017? Because that one was used in seasons 1 2 & 3.

I bought it from Rugged Rental out of Salt Lake City for seasons 1,2, and part of 3. who leased it to Paramount. So yes, Im not the reason it went away! Lol !! I met Costner’s driver/security for the series and while the 2017 was driven my several characters, it was used by Cole when not filming. It still has a label “Rips Ranch #1” in it. Didn’t know there was a 2018 in the series but makes sense since the 2017 Laramie Longhorn mega cab came off lease/rent, my guess is the may have replaced it??? I have had it since July 10th of 2020. Cool story behind it and it was purely random luck buying it and didn’t know until after I bought it, Rugged Rental told me after I signed the papers. Still digging to find some set photos with a few at Paramount.

I did not realize there was a 2018. Yes, mine is the one in the first 2 seasons plus part of 3. 2017 2500 Laramie Longhorn Mega cab, Luxury Brown Pearl in color.

I got the 2018 mixed up with my 2017 and now understand the differences between the 2 rides and when they were in the series. Mine is Luxury Brown Pearl and will have to look at the door jam a little closer.
