Chris Harris's choice for the challenge, bought for £5000. Finally died 10 miles short of the finish. We've identified this vehicle using the details you provided RENAULT 4 TL 1987 Registration number: D513 FDL Body type: Estate Colour: Blue Date of first registration: November 2018 ✓ Taxed Tax due: 1 July 2020 MOT history Date tested 22 June 2019 - PASS Mileage 87,476 miles LHD import from unknown country, presumably F. A special edition with that colour and interior?? |

5 grand? About ten times what it was worth, no wonder the TV licence costs so much. Also, the Christmas telly wasn't as good as it used to be, the Mars bars are getting smaller and the trains less frequent. You can't beat a Senior Citizens rant, and I qualify on any criteria you wish to mention. |

There are some odd things happening here, in respect of food prices, especially as the discounters have moved into the market in a big way. We have now two Aldi stores here, some of the food is both cheap and good, some is just cheap, and some is just rubbish. However, the basics are generally of fair or good quality for the prices charged. Sainsbury’s must be feeling the cold, we don’t have a Waitrose, so no knowledge about them. |

An Italian import, apparently: https://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/man-who-sold-beloved-car-21098553 |

"Please answer a few questions from our partners in order to continue reading. If you want to know more about this service, please visit www.mirror.co.uk/blah blah blah..." ![]() Anyway, I noticed it had some country-specific details, but I thought it was german or dutch, because of the backup lights. The indicator repeaters are typically italian, though. Customized, I think. |

You're not missing anything significant. "Chris said: “This chap is passionate about the vehicle. It’s his pride and joy. He had it in Italy when he moved to Milan and moved it over here when he came back. He cherished it. He didn’t know it was coming to Top Gear. He said: ‘You will look after it won’t you?’”" |

It happens all the time. Have you heard of the Californian who had a pair of 1980s Saab convertibles for sale a few years ago ? Well cared, obviously. He sold them to the same person, who sent someone with a flatbed truck. Both Saabs were put on a beach, with rising tide. Then they were set on fire, surrounded by water. It was for a music video from an unknown band that remained unknown. The C-word isn't strong enough to summarize what I think of this. |

didn't heard of that story but what a shame.. reminds me of my cousin who nearly sold his 1985 Chrysler LeBaron convertible . He asked the buyer if he had a place to store it in winter . the guy told him he would use it in winter, my cousin just said : take back your deposit , you're not getting that car |
