Austin, I should think. This was a standard colour for Austins but not Morrises. |

Weasel, instead of greying out most of the picture (which doesn't look very good) why don't you just post a comment saying where the background car is in the picture, in this case it isn't too hard to spot anyway. -- Last edit: 2007-10-18 21:56:03 |

Well, I'm sorry to moan (some people think this all I do), but I don't think it looks good when people alter the images by adding arrows or spotlight effects, I prefer clean, whole frames of film (does anyone else share this preference?), usually the car isn't very hard to spot anyway (like this one), and if it is, then it's too background. -- Last edit: 2007-10-24 20:41:07 |

I would say it's a post-1966 Mini, since it seems to have the bigger door handles. It could even be a 1968+ MkII. |

I don't mind arrows, highlighting, etc as it helps quickly id the car we are looking for. In addition it may help avoid the comments often made on the wrong car. The thing is some admins have their own style of doing images, like Ralph (or at least I think he used to), and they have their own reasons for it, even though I may not agree. I say use the entire frame (as fully as your film-viewing program allows) as it appears in the film and don't crop and enlarge the cars (this makes the picture look pixelly and shabby). -- Last edit: 2007-10-24 21:54:48 |

This happens with unknowns because the contributor or admin doesn't bother adding a comment to explain which one it is, or the people who comment don't bother looking at the vehicle class description at the top of the image (this happens a lot). If you find it hard to spot the vehicle without an arrow, then it's too background anyway. -- Last edit: 2007-10-24 21:59:40 |
