The company on the building in the background, R.W. Hensell & Sons "Henselite" Bowls is a real company based in the suburb of Fairfield, 8km north of Melbourne's CBD. The company was originally founded in 1918 by William Hensell who with the aid of the Dunlop Rubber Company, begun manufacturing rubber bowls. When the contract between Hensell and Dunlop ended in 1930, Hensell and his son, Raymond Hensell begun to manufacture plastic bowls. Beside the manufacture and the sale of bowls, the company also specialises in selling bowl's accessories, including umpire items, club equipment, clothing and bags. This particular scene was filmed at the company's former factory building in North Melbourne before it was closed and the company moved to the current location in Fairfield. -- Last edit: 2025-06-30 11:28:08 |
